Homeopathy

  Homeopathy is a system of alternative medicine that was developed in the 18th century by Samuel Hahnemann. It is based on the belief that "like cures like," meaning that a substance that causes a particular set of symptoms in healthy people can be used to treat those same symptoms in sick people. Homeopathic remedies are made by diluting a substance in water or alcohol until it is undetectable. This process is called "potentization." Homeopaths believe that the more a substance is diluted, the more potent it becomes. Homeopathy is used to treat a wide variety of health conditions, including allergies, anxiety, depression, and pain.
